The Bytes and Bygones Conference on Digital and Computational Analyses of Ancient Cultures, hosted by CUNE-IIIF-ORM and Digital Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the 3rd Digital Ancient Near
Eastern Studies Conference will held in Ghent and Brussels, Belgium from 15 to 18 September 2025.
The conference is open to anyone studying ancient or historical cultures by applying digital or computational methodologies. We welcome contributions on but not limited to ancient West Asian / Near Eastern and Mediterranean cultures (4000 BCE – 800 CE). Contributions may employ methodologies within the disciplines of Digital and Computational Humanities, Cultural Heritage, Ancient and Historical Philology, Archaeoinformatics, Histoinformatics, Computational Linguistics, Image Recognition, amongst others.
