The Ghent Centre for Digital Humanities offers advice, support and training in geospatial data management, analysis and visualization. Researchers in the humanities and social sciences at Ghent University can rely on use us for training in geographical information systems (GIS) software. For collection-holding institutions, we specialize in developing custom tools for digital processing and publication of maps. We assist Institutions in making textual and cartographic features digitally accessible and searchable. Additionally, we provide support for setting up crowdsourced georeferencing of digitized maps using Allmaps, allowing the public to contribute to mapping projects.
