There is no avoiding AI tools anymore, and stakeholders in our local landscape, from EOSC to the AI Factories and Factory Antennas, are riding that wave, while many researchers and support professionals are asking the same question: how can we use AI responsibly and effectively in research? To help navigate this rapidly evolving landscape, the FedOSC learning community is partnering with the Digital Curation Centre (DCC), one of the world's leading authorities on research data management, digital stewardship, and Open Science, for two dedicated online workshops combining strategic and practical perspectives.
The first session focuses on the responsible use of AI in research, covering legal, ethical, copyright, and policy considerations. The second explores practical applications of generative AI, with real-world use cases, hands-on exercises, and discussions on authorship, attribution, transparency, and AI-ready data.
